Many of Chime’s agencies started life as start-ups, including VCCP Media, OPEN Health and SomeOne and in the future Chime is looking to back more.

Headed up by Nick Taylor, the founder of Harvard Public Relations Ltd, which was acquired by Chime in 2000, Chime Ventures, will work as a business partner helping talented professionals build their own businesses in the ever changing world of communications.

About you

You may have reached a point in your career where you feel you have accumulated the experience and necessary skills in your adopted field, and now would relish the opportunity to create your own business. You are prepared to take a risk but feel slightly daunted by setting up completely on your own, even though you believe you have a great idea and some good contacts.

Equally, you may already have your own business but are looking for some help to develop it further.

Either way, you are probably looking for a backer who could offer you the support of their experience, contacts, office space, professional services and possibly finance.

It is important that your application to Chime Ventures meets the following entry level criteria:

  • Your proposal is complementary to existing Chime Communications agencies but does not directly compete with an existing Chime business.
  • Your business has the potential to generate a net profit of £500,000 after 5 years at a margin of 20%.
  • You have potential clients or customers in mind who could be interested in your offering.

Please note that we are not interested in receiving applications or proposals from intermediary parties. Applications must be submitted by the owner(s) of the idea or business.
