After making the strategic decision not to renew with Team USA after the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Citi tasked us with finding a global property that could help communicate their commitment to local communities they serve and reinforce and amplify their dedication Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion internally to colleagues and externally to clients and customers.
We served as lead negotiators for Citi’s new partnership with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), their first ever mission-led global partnership and a powerful platform to communicate Citi’s values internally and externally. The final agreement included International Partnership rights with the IPC and 18 NPCs, as well as activation commitments with strategically identified local, regional, and global Para Sport championships in key Citi markets.
The results were outstanding with 18 NPC partnerships in every region, two world championships activation commitments, one world cup and one activation commitment.
